The Worldwide Protest Event
LYME DISEASE AWARENESS PROTESTS – MAY 10 & 11, 2013 To alert Australians to the global Lyme disease epidemic, Lyme disease patients across Australia are mobilising in protest with a series of awareness raising events on May 10 and 11 in Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney & regional locations. Protesters want to inform the public of the real and present danger of the outbreak that is crippling thousands of Aussies each year and millions more around the world. Lyme disease has been found on every continent of the world. Many countries, including Australia, are battling increasing incidences of Lyme disease and are protesting to highlight the following needs:
“Nobody wants to experience Lyme disease or unknowingly pass it on to their sexual partner, newborn baby, or blood donation recipient. Make your voice heard and join the fight to raise awareness of Lyme disease in Australia and the need for appropriate diagnostic, treatment and training programs,” said Karen Smith, Worldwide Lyme Protest Australian Co-ordinator (www.lymeaustralia.com). Landmarks going Green
